THE OPPORTUNITY

Based at Melbourne Airport, we are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Store Manager to lead our Departures team, ensuring excellence in training, performance, and overall operations. This role requires strong leadership in managing the sales team and driving business success.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Inspire and motivate the Sales Managers and the team to maximize sales opportunities to achieve KPIs.
• Provide clear communication, feedback, and effective leadership to maintain high performance and quality customer experiences.
• Develop new sales strategies and implement action plans.
• Maximize store profit by increasing sales and maintaining cost control.
• Ensure all team members are aware of company standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring full compliance and adherence to security, safety, and appearance guidelines.

You will be working in a fast-paced, customer centric environment with a friendly and diverse team.

ABOUT YOU

• 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Exceptional customer service and leadership skills
• Sales-focused and results-oriented
• Knowledge/experience of international brands and diverse categories of products
• Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• The ability to speak a second language will be highly regarded
• Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate

DETAILS OF THE ROLE  

• Full time position
• Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• 3-week rotating roster:
  • Week 1: Tuesday to Sunday, 9:30 AM to 5:30/6:00 PM
  • Week 2: Tuesday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 5:30/6:00 PM
  • Week 3: Monday to Thursday, 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday, 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM
