THE OPPORTUNITY

Based at Brisbane International Airport, we are seeking an experienced and inspirational General Manager to lead our Sales teams to achieve success. Reporting to the General Manager of Retail, this role will lead daily business operations and be responsible for inspiring and motivating a high performing team to achieve sales and gross profit targets.

This is a key appointment to our Retail team; the successful candidate will be comfortable working in a high volume, fast paced environment and be challenged by the opportunities that Travel retail presents.

Strong leadership in managing a sales team and exceptional communication and key stakeholder relationship building capabilities are essential to this role as we continue our successful relationship with Brisbane Airport.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Work closely with the team to maximize sales opportunities and achieve KPIs.
• Motivate, develop, and lead the entire team to deliver excellence in customer service and meet sales and gross profit targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Lead the business operations including stock management, loss prevention, compliance ,etc.
• Provide clear communication, feedback, and effective leadership to maintain high performance and ensure quality customer experiences.
• Ensure all team members are aware of company standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring full compliance with security, safety, and appearance guidelines.
• Maintain regular communication with your Manager and Head Office team to influence the store's needs in achieving sales growth.

ABOUT YOU

• At least 5 years’ experience in a fast-paced senior retail management role
• Exceptional customer service and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability in implementing strategies to drive sales growth and profitability
• Knowledge/experience of international brands and diverse categories of products
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
