THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the buyer, this is an exciting opportunity for a Merchandise Planner to lead product planning for Eyewear and Souvenirs across our three sites. Reporting to the Buyer, you will be instrumental in ensuring company SOH objectives are achieved so sales profitability can be reached.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced, luxury goods retail environment.  To achieve in this role you must be highly organised with exceptional analytical skills, proficient at advanced excel and have the ability to work with detail, numbers, and managing multiple priorities.  You must be a problem solver with strong communication skills & capable of building trusted relationships with suppliers and colleagues.

 

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Develop and maintain merchandise plans by category, brands and store, ensuring alignment with business objectives and sales targets.
  • In collaboration with the Buyer/Junior Buyer successful execution of the PO to DC process
  • End to end PO-BL process; ordering and following up on orders, and backorders
  • Monitor inventory levers across store and warehouse and execution of par stock replenishment to stores
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams to support inventory management and delivery schedules.
  • Analyse historical sales data by category, brands and products to forecast demand and recommend replenishment strategies.
  • Provide detailed reporting on product performance, markdowns, stock turn, and other key metrics.
  • Develop and maintain positive stores and suppliers’ relationships to support the best business outcomes for Lotte Duty Free
  • Developing reports in a proactive manner or as briefed to identify insights and actionable recommendations

 

ABOUT YOU

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (excluding Access), with Excel proficiency highly regarded
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Previous administrative experience in a buying environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and resolve issues effectively
  • A sense of urgency with strong time management and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in a buying environment with remote, multi-site operations
  • Knowledge and/or experience in retail operations and international brands
  • Understanding of FMCG, premium, and/or luxury goods
  • Awareness of ACCC pricing and promotions regulations
