Established in February 1980, Lotte Duty Free is the second largest travel retailer in the world and operates 20 duty free stores, across 11 international airports, in seven international locations, including Australia, USA, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam.


You will work closely with Head of Marketing and GM of Merchandise to provide support with strategy development and implementation across all channels to increase business from PRC (People's Republic of China)

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Developing and delivering retail marketing campaigns and promotions that stretch beyond standard objectives and extend through to social marketing, brand development and PR.
  • Engaging in above the line (ATL) marketing communications.
  • Engaging in below the line (BTL) marketing communications including sales promotions and direct marketing opportunities.
  • Establish & develop strong partnerships with Asian business partners.
  • Establish & develop marketing plans and tour packages for high end tourist market.
  • Establishing a good relationship with organisations in the education industry especially university exchange student programmes.
  • Actively seek new business opportunities; maintain, build and improve existing customer relationships – ensure these are constantly monitored and followed up.
  • Develop and execute PRC social media (e.g. WeChat / Weibo etc.) presence and build engagement with online audience.
  • Contributing to the growth and sales of the Australian and New Zealand websites


To be successful in the role, we require the following:

  • Bachelor degree or higher qualification related to the major in Marketing or Business, or at least five years related work experience
  • Fluent in both Chinese and English.
  • Experience and good knowledge of the Daigou, tour groups & ecommerce channels
  • You will be familiar with the China market.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be comfortable liaising and building relationships with customers, business partners and other stakeholders (Having merchants’ resources will be highly regarded).
